Workplace Trauma Therapy

My practice is partnered with both IVAC AND CNESST.  I accept these cases and have experience working with and helping you go through the healing process associated with trauma, abuse, and work accidents. Helping you to learn and practise self-care is a main focus in my sessions with you.

Emotional Support After Accidents or Harassment

Are you a victim of a work accident or have you experienced harassment in the workplace?  Are you suffering from burnout and work related stress? Many people hesitate to reach out for therapy services and feel guilty if they do.  They feel they may be stepping outside the norms of what’s acceptable on their team and may be excluded in the future or have their job security placed on the line.

You may feel you’ve lost all confidence and have anxiety about if you’ll ever be able to return to the same environment.  It’s good to talk about what’s going on in a private and confidential space.  You don’t have to experience this alone.  Break the isolation and feel supported to better cope with what happened at your workplace.

What to Expect in Workplace Trauma Sessions

My gentle and supportive style aims to help you with your recovery and to build on your strengths and move past what has happened.  I provide concrete tools that you can use on your journey to self-care and to help you heal.  Talking about what happened is helpful to work through the emotions but I let you decide if you are comfortable with this and respect your pace. You have been through a lot, and healing can take time but things will get better with support. We develop a trusting relationship and I am there to guide and support you to help you to build on your strengths so you do not remain stuck in a victim role and regain your ability to function in your daily life.
