Making the decision to choose therapy is a very personal and empowering decision.
I provide a safe space for you where you feel heard and supported on your journey.

Individual Therapy Tailored to You
Everyone’s path is different. People choose therapy based on the various themes they are experiencing in their lives. In my practice, I offer an empathic space where your feelings are validated in a non-judgemental way. No two people are alike and sessions are unique and personalized for what works best for you. You feel heard. We work together to help you to get through the transitions you may be experiencing. Change is challenging and you don’t have to face this alone but you will get through it. We work together.
If you are struggling in your personal relationships or facing challenges in the workplace or at home that are leaving you feeling powerless and confused and like you are going to go off the deep end know that you are not alone. Many people experience these challenges and turning to therapy to help you cope and express your feelings is a positive step in the right direction. In my practice, we explore different ways to improve your communication and develop a healthy assertive style to help you express what you are feeling and find solutions and improve your interaction with others. Taking the first step and admitting that there is a problem is an important decision that will lead to healthier coping skills and a better sense of well-being overall.
Not Sure Where to Start?
That’s Okay. Let’s Talk It Through
It’s a normal common reaction to want to fix a problem when it arises.
This is normal and it is a process during your therapeutic journey. On this path you will develop patience and the self-confidence you need to work on solutions and improve your present situation. You don’t have to have everything figured out right away. Learning a new way and talking it through is part of the healing journey. We work together to help you find solutions to what is happening right now in your life and find a different perspective on things. Sometimes a different approach is needed. We will explore together to help you understand what is really going on in the middle of all this chaos that has built up over time and in your daily life that’s causing you distress and come up with a plan to manage more effectively.

· Going through a separation, divorce, or major relationship shift
· Struggling with self-esteem or self-doubt
· Dealing with life transitions, grief, or feelings of loss
· Improving your communication style
· Developing a healthy assertive style of communication
What It’s Like to Work With Me
I offer a warm supportive space where you feel you can take time out for yourself and learn new or different ways to improve your overall well-being. My listening style is empathic where you feel validated on your journey to wellness.
At times I am more of a guide and at other times I offer more direction if you need it providing you with concrete tools. My approach is humanistic and client centred and I enjoy working with your strengths to manage these different challenges. Talking about the problem is an important part of the process, but staying stuck there is negative and can bring you down. My approach is solution oriented to help to get you to a place where you are feeling more positive in your ability to improve your situation and at times also to practise acceptance.

What Happens in Each Individual Therapy Session?
In our initial consultation I gather information to obtain a profile of who you are and where you come from. A lot of the initial consultation involves gathering information and getting an overall profile as well as your therapeutic objectives. Your intake package is no longer than 10 minutes consisting of a consent form and a health summary. It can be completed online or if you prefer you can sign the forms in person in my office.
I gather information about your family situation and medical background information. It is important to get a whole picture of my clients as there are often different factors that lead to you becoming the person you are today as well as how you learned to handle different situations in your life. Some of these ways were learned over time with the closest people in our lives. Obtaining medical information is important and my practice is sensitive to any medical issues you may have and how they have impacted your life. My intervention strategies complement your medical interventions to improve your overall sense of well-being.
